Which rope?

Determining the exact length of a rope for an individual, stand in the middle of the cord and handles up, the handle tips should reach your armpits. When you jump over the rope, the rope should just brush the floor beneath your feet. If the cord doesn’t touch the floor, the rope is too short. If the cord hits the floor in front of your feet, the rope is too long and should be shortened.


Rope length - Your height

7ft - upto 4' 10"
8ft - from 4' 11" - 5' 5"
9ft - from 5' 6" - 6' 0"
10ft - from 6'1" - 6' 6"

Double dutch ropes

12ft - used for single jumping ( one jumper inside the ropes)
14ft - (most popular size) - used for pairs (2 jumpers inside the ropes)
16ft, 18ft, 20ft and above - obviously these are for more jumpers and the extra length allows jumpers to do more tricks and skills e.t.c.
